Field is a repeat Herati or "Mahi" pattern with medallion. Border features an informal "turtle" design element with animal busts stemming from the main body of a flower print. Very attractive field grounded with excellent design execution per medallion. Accents of spandrels in each corner of the main field are fluid.

If we have seen the rug in person, we use Fair Market Value (FMV) as the basis for some of our verifications. This means in some instances we take the seller's current asking price and set it into proportion to what would be considered a "Fair Market Value" for RETAIL prices after all sales negotiations, discounts and coupons have been applied. This is what one would expect to pay today in the current market, at a retail store*, for a given type, quality, or genre of item in a certain condition.

We cover the Northeast United States and New England with in-person appraisals when needed, with a focus on the Tri-state area of CT (Fairfield, New Have, & Hartford), NJ (Bergen, Hudson, Sussex, Passaic, Essex, Union and Morris), NY and NYC (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island, and Staten Island) as well as Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
The Rug Rag appraisal approach for antique rugs and appraisals of antique rugs may encompass International markets. Newer rug appraisals are primarily geared toward the US Market.
